Layered hybrid perovskites with broadband luminescence and tuneable optoelectronic properties

Project No.: 2023/49/N/ST5/00521

Principal investigator: Dawid Drozdowski

The aim of the project is to obtain new (110)- and ACI-type 2D perovskites based on lead halides (Br, Cl, I), incorporating small, predominantly polar organic cations. Detailed studies of their crystal structure, phase transitions, as well as optical and electrical properties over a wide temperature range are planned.

The implementation of these studies will enable the determination of relationships between the crystal structure and the physicochemical properties of the investigated materials, which is a key element in understanding the molecular basis of the observed phenomena. The obtained results may contribute to the design of new, chemically stable hybrid perovskites with optimized optoelectronic and photovoltaic properties.
